Collective Games

Session 3: August 5-16, 2024

Collective Games

Collective Games is an immersive studio designed to explore the intersection of games, community building, and collective identities. In this studio, students will delve into the creation of large-scale games that transcend the competitive boundaries of games by fostering a sense of community and collaboration. The games range from board games to innovative large-scale projects, such as tapestries with interactive elements or wooden furniture-scale games. The primary focus is on designing games that require group participation to achieve a shared goal, encouraging students to think creatively about how games can bring communities together and strengthen connections through play.

From strategic board games to innovative projects like interactive tapestries and wooden furniture-scale challenges, students are empowered to conceive and develop games that not only entertain but also weave a strong sense of community and shared play experiences.
