Musical Prosthetics

Session 3: August 5-16, 2024

Musical Prosthetics

"Musical Prosthetics" is an avant-garde high school studio that fuses the worlds of music, dance, and technology. In this innovative space, students delve into the creation of wearable musical instruments or "musical prosthetics." These high-tech devices challenge traditional notions of sound production, incorporating cutting-edge sensor interfaces and digital music technologies. Students explore the synergy between human movement and sound, pushing the boundaries of performance art by seamlessly integrating technology into the realms of music, dance, and improvisational theater.
